Let’s be honest, rainy Sundays are best spent curled up under the covers. But last weekend, a group of enthusiastic creatives defied the gloomy weather to attend the Brush Lettering Basics Workshop at Art Caravan in Bonifacio Global City (BGC).
This wasn’t your typical calligraphy class. We traded in the traditional nibs and ink for brush pens and paint brushes, creating beautiful, contemporary-style lettering. It was a beginner-friendly session, perfect for anyone who’s ever wanted to explore the world of hand lettering but felt intimidated by calligraphy tools. The best part? Everyone, despite the early start time on a rainy Sunday, arrived bright-eyed and eager to learn.
As the instructor, I was truly grateful for their enthusiasm. It was also my second time hosting a workshop at Art Caravan’s stunning space, and it never disappoints. The venue’s creative ambiance and ample lighting create the perfect environment for creative exploration.
